Wasn't there something out there similar to this??? I feel like I've seen something similar long ago. Maybe it was a mattress pad or something that laid underneath the baby?!

I know the Angelcare monitors have a motion sensor pad, plus video and sound monitoring.

There were pads that had an alarm sound if no movement was detected for a certain period of time. This pad seems to monitor 3 vital signs (heart rate, respiration, movement) rather than just movement.

Yes! That was it.

Well, that sure is neat. I hope they make a business go of it.

I hope this all works out for them and we see these blankets in the market someday! A 5 month old baby in our town just died of SIDS a few weeks ago. It really tears at your heart strings to hear news like that

The angel care in way monitors breath movement because with every breath (if u set it to beep) will make a noise, once the breath stops or no movement an alarm will go off....the breath has to stop before the heart beat stops

Do you have the Angelcare monitor? I'm thinking about getting one for my son and daughter-in-law who are expecting and was wondering if they work well.
