A Little Appreciation Goes A Long Way....

I just wanted to brag a little...

So I had a mom tell me I was an extraordinary woman and how I've made a huge impact on her child's life. It made me feel really good and reminded me that this is why I do what I do

Her child used to be a terror in the beginning. He had gone to a center his whole life and then they found me. He would lock himself in the bathroom, run into my bedroom and hide under my bed, he refused to eat anything, wash his hands, he would try and escape during naptime, hit me and the kids, anything you name it. But after spending some 1 on 1 time with him and showing him I care, with a little guidance and some silliness. He is one of my best haved kids here. It just makes me so happy to hear she notices a difference. I wish every parent could be like her.

That is so wonderful to hear! I remember once I had parents tell me they appreciated what I do and know how difficult it must be and I felt amazing for months!
