threads which discuss how to get a weekly rate and what the equation is.

Anyone have a process for how they did it?

Do you use 50 weeks instead of 52 (a full year minus a week of vacation for you and one for the DCP) and then divide your income needed by spots and weeks?

ACK help!!!

Pretty please!!!

I called around to local centers, family centers, etc and got their rates, then made my own on the fair side to start with. I then figured out if I had 8 of the lowest age group, would I be able to live off it, and if I had 4-6 would I be able to live?

I have read about some who say charge $150 a week times 52 weeks then divide by 50 weeks like you are mentioning. Then this is the families weekly rate for each week of the year.

I also did this....
then after my first year I took all of my overhead and subtracted it from what I was making. I then decided I needed to raise my rates $1.75 per day to actually make a profit.

What exactly are you trying to figure out, weekly rates regardless of attendance and being closed or just general weekly rates and breakdown of rates?

I usually Tag most of the threads. So do a Tag search for rates and you should be able to choose from an assortment of Tags. Here are a few general tag topics: https://www.daycare.com/forum/tags.php?tag=fees

I am thinking of switching to weekly rates. I would like to switch to a weekly rate which stays the same no matter what happens in the week. If the family goes on vacation, if there is a holiday, whatever.

Same pay each week for the full year, due on the same day every week/2 weeks/month.
