I reside in Louisiana. I plan on opening a day care center (not a home center). I want to be registered as a "Grade A" daycare, so I can accept state funding. However, I will have to start off small. In order for me to be a Director, it is showing I need to be accredited by National's Child Care Association. Has anyone else had to do this? When I called my state office, they also suggested Penn Foster or Ashworth Waiver. Does anyone own a day care not in their home that has went through this process? How easy is it?
