I'm sure some of you have seen this on fb, but I had to share. It's so simple and tastes so ooooh good. I'll admit that I have made them 3 days in a row and twice yesterday
Here is the recipe:

Potatoes (I used Idaho)
Olive Oil
Butter (melted) I used real butter
Kosher Salt
Pepper

Preheat oven to 425°
Slice potatoes almost all the way through, but leave intact
Drizzle olive oil and butter on potatoes (I spread the slices open so it could get in between)
Sprinkle salt and pepper on top (I omitted pepper)
Bake for 40 min

I made them for the dc kids and I threw them in the oven and we went outside and by the time we came in, they were done! Super easy and yummy!

That looks so good! Do you just use a super sharp knife to make the slices without going all the way through?

OT: I thought this said the most amazing sLide

We've had those before...YUM!!

Crafty.... you don't actually slice all the way through the potato. Just deep enough to fan it out but not all the way through so it stays as one potato.

YUMMY!

Do you wrap each one in foil? Or bake them on the foil?

I bake them on the foil, just to make clean up easier. And I aso fold the edges of the foil up because I'm a real butter freak and it goes all over when I pour it on..lol

A trick to keep from slicing all the way thru is to lay a skewer next to the potato on each side.

Great idea! Half of the time, I accidentally slice all the way through so I end up with random slices!

I made them for myself 3 days in a row....lol and one of the days I made them for dinner so dh and dd could taste them.

I did make it for the dck's, but only put a little teeny bit of butter on it.
