We need to do this post weekly. I struggle to come up with healthy meals that the kids will eat. I have a few that they love but i dont want to serve the same thing every week.

Today: spinach ravioli with zucchini sauce, melon, milk
That's all i got for this week. I have a lot of groceries but no plan.

I always intend on making a menu but it rarely happens!

Today we had ham and hummus sandwiches on whole wheat bread, apple slices, baby spinach, and milk.

Tomorrow? Probably baked chicken, baked sweet potato, mango, and broccoli.

Well since I just lost my last two kiddos, I was thinking caviar, ice cream and wine?

LOL. Back to regular programming.

I agree. It would be helpful to me so I don't make the same thing.

Today I'm debating between grill cheese on whole wheat, apple sauce or yogurt and grapes, or egg in the whole, cheese sticks, grapes and apple slices and a glass of milk with both.

Today's lunch is a breakfast bake. I seems to find an abundance of eggs in my fridge.

Same here! A family friend has chickens and delivers 2 dozen eggs to us every Monday, on his way to work. When he gets chick's I take the dcks to visit. It works out great, but we always have tons of eggs! Eggs for breakfast a couple days a week, devilled eggs for snack about once a week, eggs salad sandwiches some days... Lol

We are required to have a menu posted for the state now as well as the food program. I always try to plan a month of main dishes ahead and then fill in veg and fruit depending on what is on sale/ on hand etc.

I don't either! I make extra dinner food and always have a few backups in case something comes up. Like I always have chili, soup, bread, meat & cheese for sandwiches, and lots of different vegg is cut up and ready. I always use it up by the end of the week. I hate waste!

There is. I am moving this thread to that area so it's searchable in case anyone wants to find/read it later.

I don't understand how you guys get your kids to eat all this stuff! OR where you find the time to make it all!?? I make meals, but nothing this fancy! No one would eat it if I did. I know it's not our job to make them eat; only to serve, but it kills me to throw food away.

And here we are, onto another week. So soon???
It looks like Tuesday will be:
Pork chops, brown rice, applesauce, green beans, grapes
Wednesday:
Turkey and provolone wraps, lettuce and tomato, fresh pineapple, red peppers
Thursday:
Cheeseburgers on buns, cauliflower, peaches
Friday:
Pizza and try to finish up whatever fruits/veggies we need to

And AuntTami, I pretty much know who will eat what but I still serve the teeniest portion of everything to everybody. Then designate a day and use up leftover veggies/fruits. Or redo them as something else. I have many kids who appear to have never had a veggie in their lives and if they eat it or try it great, if not, either the dogs will get it or the garbage will. I hate wasting food too. But I've gone from serving the required amounts(why if you know they're not going to eat it )to giving them a miniscule serving.
Someone told us at a training it takes 19 times of serving something before it is accepted. Not sure if I agree with that or not.

Lamb stew w/buttered noodles, broccoli & peaches, milk
Pretzel sticks w/ fruited yogurt dip, water

It's too bloody hot to cook with the oven, so the lamb stew was done in the crockpot yesterday lol
