Is our only option claiming gas mileage? I just bought a used car, paid cash. I use my car for business and personal(probably pretty equal), but never for transporting dcks. Continue tracking miles or is there a different way?
Thanks!!

You have two options when claiming car expenses. You can save receipts for all expenses related to the car (gas, oil, repairs, car insurance, depreciation, car wash, etc) and deduct the business portion. Or, you can deduct 53.5 cents a business mile for 2017.
