Daycare Center and Family Home Forum>Licensing? On Fencing

I was thinking of becoming licensed. I currently have 3 dcks. I started doing childcare back in 2008 and with 3 yrs under my belt, feel that I could take in my kids. 3 is the limit for unlicensed in PA.
I do have a question and can't really seem to find it in the dept of welfare booklet on regulations on childcare. Must my yard be completely fenced in?
There's a fence on eithere side of the yard going up to the garage, it runs to the alley behind the gargage but there's a path on both sides of the garage to get to the alley.
I have kids 3 and up (one is almost 2) but they all know not to go past the garage where it starts in the yard.
I know PA is passing some new laws on regulation on childcare since there have been some serious incidents in the past few years.
Thanks in advanced.

I'm in MN, so I don't know your regulations. But I think it's a case by case thing. If you are near a busy street or area of water, then you need to have a completely fenced in yard. You could call the local licensor's office and describe your yard and he/she may be able to tell you if it needs to be completely fenced in.
