Does the daycare count in the "home office" section? (I'm guessing yes?)

Also...what's with this "carryover to next year" thingy? Is that supposed to happen? Or am I doing something wrong?

If I am reading your question correctly, the carry over deals with items that your depreciate(sp?)
As for the home office, if you keep going through the questions, it gets to the part about asking how much space you use for daycare and the items that pertain to daycare.

You will only have carry over expenses if your house expenses on Form 8829 create or increase a loss for your business. This means you would carry over some of these expenses to your 2012 Form 8829.

Technically, a family child care provider is claiming "home office" expenses that appear on Form 8829.
