I bought the marketing, contract and policies and record keeping books. All have wonderful information and I love them. I bought them offline at a discount on B & N. I would really like to buy his tax guide when I save up enough money.

I've written a number of books. If you want to do your own taxes for 2010 purchase the 2010 Family Child Care Tax Workbook and Organizer. It will take you through all the tax forms, line by line. If you use a tax preparer, get the 2010 Tax Companion. My book Family Child Care Record Keeping Guide lists over 1,000 allowable deductions and describes how to keep records throughout the year.

I have Tom Copeland's book titled Record-Keeping Guide. I'm reading on page 74 about exclusive-use space and regular-use space. If anyone has this, please explain something to me...

The example shows she house is 2,000 square feet. She uses 1,800 regularly for business. She uses 200 exclusively for business.....Does this mean she uses 100% of her house? OR is the 200 exclusively used space part of her 1,800 regularly used space?

In the example in my book it means that she is using 1,800 square feet on a regular basis and another 200 square feet she is using exclusively for her business. The total square feet is 2,000.
