Default 3 Prospects, 0 Enrollment

I had 3 people who phoned me about childcare. One wanted childcare to 5:30-6. I close at 5 and can not work later due to daughter's activities. 2nd wanted me to open at 4:30 in the morning. Uh, no. Currently, I have kids until 5pm. That is too long of a day. 3rd seemed promising. She has a daughter turning 3, glad to know I do preschool and that I do not have a tv where I do childcare. Asked if I was a Christian or regular daycare. Not sure how to answer, never had that come up before. I did say that while I do go to church I do not have a christian curriculum. I said my daughter is in kindergarten and in the afternoon while the younger kids are sleeping she may ask to do her sunday school papers and maybe a craft project based on that or she does a worksheets for kindergarten. She asked if she could ask where I go to church. I answered Freidens, and she goes, oh, Lutheran. Not sure if that was go or bad. But she did say about bringing her daughter to meet with me. I got her first name. That was yesterday. And nothing. Ugh! I can not go too long without replacing the boy who left. I don't need much. Just someone for my min of 3 days. My ad will go in again this week. I was thinking of having an open house. I had one about 2 1/2 yrs ago, but only had 1 person show up about 5 mins before it was to end. She just came to be nosy.

Would it be possible for you to show us your ad? Now I am a Christian (baptizied lutheran)and I do put that i am a christian in my ads and the famlies that really liked me, were looking for someone with good morals, values etc, even though they themselves didnt consider themselves "religious" but they wanted to make sure their child was not going to be exposed to any kind of violence, or swearing, etc. So I am just kinda reading into this, and that mom may have been looking for something like it? Or maybe when you told her your denomination, it conflicted with hers? Just trying to guess here.

Here is mine:

I am a SAHM with a small informal home daycare. I will only care for up to 2 children during the day, so if you are looking for more of one on one care & attention, this would be for you!

I currently have 1 part time opening left on Mon, Tues, and/or Wed, for an infant 6 wks-1yr. Age appropriate field trips (Zoo, Museum, etc) are included. ** Thursdays & Fridays are booked unless you only need care for 3 hours or less on these days.**

I also have 2 openings for before/after school care. We live in the blank School District & have a bus stop right on our street! We live in a a clean, smoke free home in a cul de sac that backs up to a park, so it is quiet & safe. Breakfast/snacks will be served.

I also provide back up care if your regular provider is unavailable, and "as needed" care if you need to run some errends or have a Dr's appointment, or if you just need an hr.

We are a Christian family and feel manners, good morals & values, respect and honesty are very important to a childs well being, and these are things that will be taught to your child on a daily basis.

I am CPR certified, have excellent references and your fees are tax deductable! If this is something you are interested in, please respond & we can set up an interview.

My rates are $35/day for standard care, $10/day for Before/After School, and $20 for up to 3 hrs for drop in "as needed" care.

I am running a "back to school special" if you enroll your child with me before Sept 9, I will give you a $25 discount off your first 2 weeks of childcare!
