I may complain about some of the things my daycare families do, but I'll also be the first to cheer them on as being awesome families!
All three of them pay on time, every week, no questions asked. They all keep their child home when the child is sick. They keep their child home (most) of the time when one or both parents have a day off work--I don't care if they bring the kid when they aren't working, but they usually don't bring them unless they have a good reason. They clearly love and want to spend time with their kids. They tell me how much they appreciate what I do for their child. So even though there are bumps and hiccups in the road, overall, they are awesome! |

I only have one daycare family right now and they come three days a week. The girls are angels and I love them so much. They obey my rules, get along with my own 2 kids, sleep/rest VERY well, the list goes on!
The parents let me know when they're picking up early, they pay me first thing the first day of the week, I've never had to remind them. They follow all my policies, let me take their kids places anytime I want, and never question my judgment. It's because of how they great they are that I am willing to be flexible with them. If dcm needs to switch a day and I'm free I have NO problem helping her out. She's an RN and every week is different for her. I've never been verbally told how appreciated I am, nor given gifts at holidays, but I feel appreciated in the way they respect my business and how kind they are. That's just fine with me!

I'm fairly lucky right now. I have 8 amazing families. 2 have two kids. I love that we have routines and pretty close relationships. We seem to work together for the kids. I really think they value me and my program.

I agree. I have awesome clients. Pay on time, respectful of my policies, and the kids are good.
When I started out my clients were not as good, so I really appreciate these ones!
