California Food Program Questions

Does anyone know if in cal. the food program has rules on when is too “early” to cut a child off from eating more.

I actually asked my food lady this question a few months ago. She said follow the measurements for the first serving and 1/2 that amount for the second serving. She also recommended giving more fruits and veggies as the seconds instead of high calories and carbs.

Is that is a big help thank you! That is basically what I have been doing just did not know what the program thought.
