Default 2 Month Old WILL NOT Stop Crying....

I'm on my third week with new DC baby and he will not stop crying. I semi dread every day because I know there is a possibility that the day will be nothing but non stop crying. Yesterday was a good day, he slept well and was content the whole day but I think that was because he had a fussy day at home on Sunday. She said he barely slept and was fussy all day so I think yesterday he was making up for Sunday. Now today he is back to being fussy, won't sleep unless he's being held and does not want to be put down. I am at a loss at what to do...I have tried everything. I can't hold him 24/7, the other kids need my attention too...any suggestions?

Swaddle, white noise, darkened room by himself. Rinse and repeat until he takes a nap (or needs a meal). He sounds way overstimulated.

Do you think he is a colicky baby? Could his fussiness be related to his eating?? Getting too much, not enough, too gassy, maybe his tummy is having trouble digesting formula, possibly a milk allergy or if bf, maybe its something mom is eating.

I have a sling carrier for my wee little ones. It gives me hands free to help with the other kids and baby feels like I am holdding them. Got a 3 month old dcb in one right now so I can peruse the interwebs while the older ones sleep. He only sleeps for about an hour a day off and on. When he hits 6 months I will start working with him on sleeping in the pnp and crying it out but, until then this makes me and him a lot less grumpy! My 2 cents!

I used to take infants as soon as 6 weeks old. I have changed this to 6 months and older. It is very hard for a newborn to get into a routine. Plus there are many that are colicy!! I have found out, it is much better as they are older. Plus then you don't really have to worry too much on SIDS also. That is a HUGE worry of mine, with any infant.

I agree with the over stimulated thought. Swaddle and sling always helped me adjust a kid to dc. If it keeps up and mom says same about at home could be food issues or reflux. I am convinced more kids have that than "colic".

Is he only crying when you are not holding him?
Spoiled perhaps?

I feel for you, it's very stressful to listen to the little ones be so upset and not know what to do!

possibly try switching formulas, gas drops, etc.... my own baby I went thru every formula out there, until we tried Orange similac, and it worked wonders.

I have a 4 month old that is alwYs crying unless he's being held. He never eats well for me, and gets waayyy over tired but wont sleep. Is it horrible that I don't tell jis mom how much he cries? She has a lot of guilt that she's.working instead of being home with him.

I have a 2 month old that cries constantly to be held. Mom says she holds him a lot at home and she also let's him sleep on her chest. Now he doesn't want to sleep in the crib here and wants to be held and rocked constantly. It's very nerve wracking to listen to him cry so much.
