Default Harvest Time Theme

I need some ideas for my September theme-Harvest Time.

A few craft ideas....I do mostly process art, but a couple crafts could be fun.

Other activities?

I'm thinking a trip to the Apple Orchard. What else?

I think I am!

I'm trying to decide how to do this, exactly. Apples are usually mid September, and Pumpkins are usually October. Our best bet to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch is October 1.

So, maybe I should start the unit mid September and go all the way through Halloween?

I could do a 2 week "all about me' Sept. 4-14...hmmm...

I think I am going to do a letter-of-the-week, but more like letter-of-the 2 weeks. Not doing a bunch of drills or anything, just sort of incorporating it into the theme. So A is for Apple, P is for Pumpkin. I won't be doing them in order, either.

Oh, and I need ideas for my centers...and books for each theme!

Let's see if I can attach a word document They will be my pumpkin things.

I can't find my apple stuff anywhere-as my old computer was dying I tried to save everything but can't find everything,

OK, it's not working! I got it to upload to my attachments, but it didn't show up here!

well...now that I have looked at the calendar and contemplated a bit, I think we will do "all about me" in September. Their name, where they live, their family, etc.

So, now I need ideas for that theme!

I'm doing Harvest Time in October. October 1st will be a trip to the pumpkin patch/harvest store, then we'll go from there.
