New Crib Standards

I received this today about the new Federal crib standards that are going into effect for the states if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Please see attached supplemental crib standard Q&A’s http://www.cpsc.gov/info/cribs/cribqa201106.html

Just released from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Please forward to any additional child care organizations as appropriate. Note all crib safety and crib standard guidance/publications can be found on the CPSC website at www.cpsc.gov/cribs.

I just skimmed it, does it say anything about pack n plays?

Pack N plays are different than cribs.

Ok so from what I gathered it says that any type of crib (with or without a drop-down side) that was made before December 2010 is more than likely not usable in daycare or at home. Even consumers that have cribs made before December 2010 aren't allowed to donate, give away or try to sell their old cribs.

As for pack n plays this is what I found online but I havn't found it yet in the standard itself.
